While Skillet’s 11th studio album has not yet been announced, frontman and bassist John Cooper has confirmed it is in production in an interview at Lifest 2021 in Oshkosh, WI, which was held July 29-31, 2021.
We are going to be releasing music this year. It’s not been announced yet, but I’m very excited about the new project. It’s really aggressive, it is really in-your-face, and I think that is probably born out of the year that we’ve had [with COVID]. […] And so, this album, I hope, is an encouragement to people to not be ashamed of Christ, to live […] out the Word of God, because the Word of God never changes. And everything else, as we’ve seen, is going to let you down in a huge way. So, everybody lookout for new Skillet music this year. I hope it rocks your face off. He also revealed a line of a chorus for a new song untitled song in the June 29, 2021 episode of The Trevor Talks Podcast.
