Today the 31st of May 2021, is the last Monday and amazingly the last day of the month of May 2021. May was a significant month with significant happenings in the gospel industry ranging from the success of Moses Bliss’s concert and album release, Chidinma’s new single and switch to gospel music, 121 Selah making wakes in the Amazing Voices competition amongst others. These and many more has made May a month to remember so here are some tunes to aid that remembrance;

  1.  Moses Bliss – God is Real

Moses recently dropped a new album tagged ‘TOO FAITHFUL’, released on the 16th of May 2021, God is real is the 7th song on the album.

 The song talks about how real God is, Moses Bliss uses this song as a medium for evangelism and we love to see it.

 It affirms the realness of God and as one who lives in our hearts. Get this song and be blessed.

  1. Jide Williams – A Child’s worth

27th of May is a day selected to celebrate children in Nigeria annually and gospel music minister Jide Williams commiserates this day with a single he titles ‘A Child’s Worth’.

This tracks sourced a part of its inspiration from the book of Psalm 127:3 where the Psalmists declared children as gifts from the Lord and the fruit of the womb, a reward to every woman.

The gospel minister Jide Williams, is also organizing an educational essay challenge for children in public schools with lots of consolation and winner prizes.

  1. Tim Godfrey – Your God

‘Your God speaks extensively on God being ever ready to take us in. His outstretched hands are mighty to save, all we need to do is call on Him and he’ll come through always’. _ Tim Godfrey. The song is the 3rd song off the Already Won Album.

  1. DJ Ernesty ft. Okey Sokay – Fire

Produced by SoundmindPro, fire is a song that would sure get you dancing.  Nigerian gospel music disc jockey DJ Ernesty of Kerusso Records and Entertainment join-forces with producer, Songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Okey Sokay to release a brand new sound of declaration titled; Fire.

“Fire” was inspired by the story of The Pentecost recorded in Acts Chapter 2 vs 1-18 where the holy spirit came upon the disciples gathered at the upper room which brought strength, power, direction, and most importantly utterance to everyone gathered to be able to take the gospel to the ends of the earth.

This song brings revival and is suitable for daily declarations to plead for the holy spirit to give strength, guidance, direction, and utterances.

  1.  Limoblaze ft. Dena Mwana – Fadeaway

Limoblaze, the African pop star who puts Jesus on everything, collaborates with gospel singer and composer from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Dena Mwana. Fadeaway is a song about the sovereignty of God’s name and how others’ names are vain. This song conveys a very strong message and still gets to you to dance.
