Jo-Z Jay is no stranger to the rapcircles within the city of Lusaka, where he grew up. A love for rap was birthed in him at a young age. He wrote his first lyrics in the 9th grade (aged 15) for Scripture Union. He did not, however, dream of making music until he realized the influence and power it had to Infiltrate the mind and change people’s perspective on various life issues.

Making a life decision not to write profane lyrics, Jo-Z’s focus changed from showing off lyrical talent, drawing attention to one’s self, seeing women as sexual objects and violence, to encouraging people to cherish a close love relationship with God the Father. Discovering his role in the Lord’s plan (with the help of friends and mentors) and enhancing his gift.
