It’s only been four weeks but already J. Monty has been so consistent with his second season of the Testify Series. Today he released the next track “Black Leather” which features him torching the mic as we’ve come to expect.
We asked him for a quick quote on this season.
“All I can think of is that Season 1 launched in 2019, and was taken down from all streaming platforms by Sony RCA my former label, because I released it without their consent, intentionally, almost as a sort of protest to be released from that situation,” said the rapper. “Ran into some legal issues, but after 3 years I’ve finally been able to relaunch and continue dropping weekly, hopefully well into the future.”
Well, we’re glad he’s back.
