The first law of Dominion as far as gaining spiritual mastery is concerned is absolute surrender to God. When you come to Christ, you are not actually giving your life to him rather you are receiving his life

Giving your life to Christ is an activity that prepares you for service, it is an activity for matured believers who desired to be greatly used by God.

The law of total surrender to Christ stands from the understanding that all that I am and all that I have belongs to God and that I must lose the ability to say NO to God. Any believer who has not lose the ability to say NO to God is not truly yielded to Christ.

Most believers are not yielded, they come to God negotiating things at their terms, they want the power of God at their terms, they want a successful life at their terms.

When you come to God you must die to self. There are two things you must overcome as a believer, which is sin and self, if you are free from sin and not free from self, you will still suffer. You must be free from sin and also from self.

Unbelievers have two problems which is sin and self, while believers have the problem of self. With one confession of truth, the issue of sin is done by faith, but it does not take one confession to deal with self , self is something you die to daily.

When you surrender everything to God, therein lies true liberty in the spirit. It is burdensome to take the place of God in your life, you don’t know how many things he does, so taking his place inorder to maintain everything in your life will destroy you. So hand over everything in you life to him and let God guide your steps.
