American Preacher Creflo Dollar Says Tithing Is Not Biblical, He Also Orders Congregation To Destroy Books And Videos He Released About Tithes Before

Creflo Dollar, the preacher who has been preaching the prosperity gospel for decades and the subject of tithes told his congregation to get rid of books, tapes, videos he has preached about tithing.

He admits that he’s been preaching the wrong gospel when it comes to tithes.

He added that tithes is Old Testament teaching and longer relevant for New Testament believers and also said that he will lose friends for speaking the truth about tithes.

The video where he said that comes from a teaching series he released on his YouTube channel on 26 June 2022.

Creflo Dollar who owns private jets and in recent years began to change his teaching on prosperity gospel has now confessed that he failed when it comes to the teaching of thithes.

  1. Pastor Creflo Dollar, needs to be a shame of himself saying that paying tithes, is wrong. In the New Testament there are two scriptures about tithing St. Matthew 23:23 and St. Luke 11:42. Pastor Dollar, must have forgotten the scripture that says “woe to the Shepherd that scatter my sheep Ezekiel 34:5”. The people didn’t have a Shepherd, Pastor Dollar is a Shepherd and he’s teaching wrong. Pastor Dollar, should return everyone their money back that brought a book, a tape or a video, instead of telling the people to throw them away.

You are wrong. Please do the research instead of listening to someone else or tradition. Those scriptures Matt and Luke are before the cross. You need to follow the scriptures on giving after the cross like- 2 Cor 9: 6-8
6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
Also, tithes was giving from agriculture and live stock.
Leviticus 27:30-32 says, “A tithe of everything from the land, whether grain from the soil or fruit from the trees, belongs to the Lord: it is holy to the Lord. 31 If a man wishes to redeem some of his tithe, he shall add a fifth to it. 32 And every tithe of herds and flocks, every tenth animal of all that pass under the herdsman’s staff, shall be holy to the Lord.

You are not under the Law to perform the works of the Law
Gal 2:16 16 yet we know that na person is not justified2 by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.
Gal 3:13 13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”
Romans 10:4 4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.2

Creflo Dollar is right. Tithing is not a New Testament concept. It is a practice for replacement of land inheritance in favour of the Levites of old. It is NOT a ‘universal truth’ that cuts across from Old Testament to the New Testament. It is, theologically speaking, a ‘local truth’, the same way charging interest on money lent to a borrower is ‘local truth’ that was relevant to the Jews of old. Today, banks charge interest on loans; individuals do the same—-and the Church accepts them without query. Many men of God are aware of this truth, but, the monetary benefit from tithing suppresses their courage, and at the same time, overtakes their sense of judgment, so much that, they do not have the courage to renounce their previous teaching on tithing. But, I hail the courage of men of God like Jim Bakker, Benny Hin, and now, Creflo Dollar for shunning the monetary interests to speak the truth. I encourage other men of God to break loose, and stop fleecing congragants. For more information on tithing and other religious excesses, get my books titled, ‘Change Your Focus, Volumes 1 and 2’.

  3. Thank God for changing the mindset of most ministers in today’s generation, lest they will damned just like Jesus did wheh He said, “WOE to you, 21st century Pharisees, you, hypocrites! You shut the Kingdom of Heaven in men’s faces. You, yourselves, do not enter nor will you let those who are trying to get in.
